Microblading/Nano Brow Aftercare
After your procedure:
2 hours post procedure, dampen a piece of paper towel with lukewarm water and firmly blot over both brows. Blotting your brows is extremely important as it will eliminate excess lymph fluid and pigment. This will minimize scabbing and lead to better pigment retention.
Pat dry with a clean piece of paper towel and then apply a very thin layer of healing gel. Avoid over saturating with aftercare gel; a grain size amount goes a long way!
Repeat these steps 2x a day for 7-10 days (morning and night)
Things to avoid:
Avoid getting brows wet (use a wash cloth when washing your face so there is more control over the area)
Refrain from sweating, steam, pools, hot tubs and saunas
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning
No harsh facial products (Retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, Exfoliants, Vitamin A)
For Botox, you must wait at least 3 weeks pre or post procedure
No picking or touching brows while healing
No skincare or makeup for at least 7 days
What to expect:
Days 1-4: Color will oxide, eyebrows will appear much thicker and darker. Some may even experience a “rusty” hue; this will not last and the color will neutralize.
Days 5-7: You may experience flaking or peeling, this is new skin trying to heal. When flakes come off it may appear as if the color/strokes are no longer visible. This is normal!
Day 8-14: As skin is healing, the strokes and color will resurface. This may occur up to 4 weeks.
This is a “results may vary” procedure.
Everyone heals differently dependent on factors such as skin type, hormone changes, medications, environment, facial products used, etc.
The 6-8 week touch up focuses on filling in sparse areas, giving more dimension, thickening and/or darkening brows as desired.
